About Alexa

For over a decade, my practice has been exclusively focused on providing legal advice and counsel to health care professionals. My professional experience includes serving as Assistant General Counsel at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio where I was responsible for advising the constituency of the largest physician and dental practice in the South Texas region. At UT Health San Antonio, I also worked in the Office of Regulatory Affairs and Compliance where I gained invaluable insight into the privacy and regulatory framework. And before going in-house, I was in private practice where I defended health care providers facing allegations of medical-malpractice and violations of their practice acts.

What really sets me apart is I am the wife, daughter, and granddaughter of physicians. I have been there for Match Day, residency, and joining practice. Not only have I defended providers facing litigation, I’ve been the family member of health care providers finding themselves responding to legal action. I know how getting sound legal advice from someone who understands you can have a meaningful impact on your career and well-being. My ultimate goal with every engagement is to take care of you, so you can take care of others.
